Safety Instructions: The organising committee take
the safety of runners, officials and spectators very seriously, so,
for the safety of competitors we ask that you read these instructions.
-
Access to the Half Marathon start at Gordonstoun School is by supplied bus only, no cars are allowed into the grounds. Buses leave Elgin Town Hall at 09:45hrs

During the races the route will not be closed to vehicular traffic so please exercise caution at all times, particularly when crossing roads and (for marathon and half marathon runners) when negotiating the twisting route adjacent to the golf course on the approach to Lossiemouth (Click here for route maps)
-
There will be marshals on the course, directional arrows and mile markers
-
All runners must keep to the left side of the road unless otherwise directed by race marshals
-
RACE MARSHALS' INSTRUCTIONS MUST BE OBEYED AT ALL TIMES
-
There will be a lead vehicle for each race
-
The route will have water stations approximately every 3 miles, with refreshments at the finish
-
A sweep vehicle will be in attendance to pick up any non-finishers
-
If for any reason you have to withdraw from the race you MUST notify an official
-
As the race is run on busy main roads, the committee warns that it is unsafe for competitors to reduce their hearing of traffic or marshalls' instructions by the use of in-ear or closed-ear headphones.
